Multiply ( 1 ) with 1000000

1000000x = 142857.142857...---( 2 )

Subtract ( 1 ) from ( 2 ) we get

99999x = 142857

x = 142857/99999

x = ( 9 × 15873 ) / ( 9 × 11111 )

After cancellation ,

x = 15873 / 11111 ( p/q form )

Therefore ,

x = 0.142857142857...= 15873/11111
