Cos x = 1/sec x
Since,
Sec^2 x = 1 + tan^2 x
Sec x = sqroot(1 + tan^2 x)
So, cos x = 1/sqroot (1 + tan^2 x)
And here I have used sqroot for square root of that quantity and instead of theta, i have used x
Hope this helps!!!
