Try solving like this:

Hence... we have to express 25 as sum of two consecutive positive integers.

let one integer be x...

so the other will be x+1

a.t.q.

x+x+1=25

or, 2x= 25-1

or, x=12

so, one no. is 12

and the other is 12+1=13
