express in your own words how a responsible citizen of India should be

Ladies and gentlemen, as a proud citizen of a great country, I always think of what Abraham Lincoln and Jawaharlal Nehru spoke of; every moment of the waking period of every day I wonder what more one can do for one's country, rather than constantly expecting some benefit coming my way.
Firstly, one ought to be a law-abiding citizen and lead by example at every step. One must also learn to protest if he or she encounters some wrong doing. One must help the weak, the infirm and the old in every possible way. One must ensure that the needy in one's locality do not remain unfed and unclothed. It is also necessary to curb wastage; I'd like to propagate against wastage of electric power, food and water.
There are certain fundamental rights enshrined in our constitution. I'd try to prevent their misuse by my fellow citizens in my locality.
I'd also like to take up matters of public importance with the Government of the day and, if necessary, file public interest litigations in our law courts to ensure my fellow citizens get their due.
Last, but not the least,I would try to cleanse the political system in my locality, by ensuring some sanity, honesty and decency is infused with my personal, untiring effort. If required, I would even go to the extent of filing my nomination for the local panchayat or municipal election, as a first step to cleaning up the administrative machinery.

Responsible citizens
A responsible citizen abides by all the law and order of the country. They are entitled to exercise all the fundamental rights and duties, such as casting a vote, paying government taxes and protecting the country from corruption. Being a good and responsible citizen of the country, one must engage in activities or assist in tackling issues such as keeping the environment clean, raising money for charities, conserving electricity, water, and natural resources, or protecting public properties, etc.
Every state or country provides its citizens with some fundamental civil rights such as personal rights, religious rights, social rights, moral rights, economic rights, and political rights, etc. A right is a liberty that is protected by the state, such as the right to free speech and religion.
Rights are given to the citizens for their individual moral, material or personality development and growth in social life. Responsibility is a moral duty that one should perform, such as recycling, preserving culture and heritage, etc. Voting is both a right and a responsibility.
