If sum of any two angles are equal to

90° is called Complementary angles.

i ) sin ( 90 - x ) = cos x

ii ) tan ( 90 - x ) = cot x

According to the problem given,

Sin 81 + tan 71

= Sin ( 90 - 9 ) + tan ( 90 - 19 )

= Cos 9° + Cot 19°
