tanx =  \frac{sinx}{cosx}
sinx= tanx*cosx
sinx = tanx *  \frac{1}{secx}

From the identity
1 + tan²x = sec²x
 \frac{+}{-}  \sqrt{1+tan^2}  = secx

sinx = tanx *  \frac{1}{ \frac{+}{-} \sqrt{tan^2+1}  }

sinx =  \frac{tanx}{ \frac{+}{-} \sqrt{tan^2+1}  }
