As we know,

 \tan( \alpha )  =  \sin( \alpha ) \div  \cos( \alpha )  \\  \\

so,

 \cos( \alpha )  = 1 \div  \sec( \alpha )

putting the value in previous eq.

 \tan( \alpha )  =  \sin( \alpha )  \div 1 \div   \sec( \alpha )

 \tan( \alpha )  =  \sin( \alpha )  \times  \sec( \alpha )
