Answer:

Let the breadth of rectangular swimming pool be x metres.

Then, its length =(2x+2) metres.

We know that the Perimeter of a rectangle =2(Length+Breadth)

=2(2x+2+x)=6x+4

According to the given condition, we have

6x+4=154

⇒6x=154−4           ..[By transposing 4 to RHS]

⇒6x=150

⇒6x=6150         ...[Dividing both sides by 6]

⇒x=25

Thus, breadth =25 m and length =25×2+2=52 m

Answer:

Perimeter of rectangular swimming pool = 154 m

Let the breadth of rectangle be = x

According to the question,

Length of the rectangle = 2x + 2

We know that,

Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

⇒ 2(2x + 2 + x) = 154 m

⇒ 2(3x + 2) = 154

\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow 3 x+2=\frac{154}{2} \\ \Rightarrow 3 x=77-2 \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{75}{3} \end{array

⇒ x = 25 m

∴,Breadth = x = 25 m

Length = 2x + 2

= (2×25)+2

= 50 + 2

= 52 m
