An Algebraic Expression or Polynomial is a mathematical term that consists of variables and constants along with mathematical operators (subtraction, addition, multiplication, etc).
Example: 8x – 20, 5x – 6y + 30 etc.
Quick Note: Algebraic Expressions shouldn’t be confused with Algebraic Equations. An Algebraic Equation has two sides (Left Hand Side or LHS and Right Hand Side or RHS) whereas an Algebraic Expressions does not.
Algebraic Equation: 5x – 20 = 80 or (a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2
