Solution

 To   find  the  area  of  the  rectangle    with  length  11y^4  and   width y^2

 as   a   monomial  .

   As  we   know  that

    Area   of   rectangle  =  Length  x  width

    Area  =   Length  x  width

    Area  =   (11y^4 )  x  (y^2 )

    Area  =  11y^6   square  units

Answer:

To, find the Area of a rectangle(A) multiply its length(L) by its width(W).

Given: Length(L) = 11y^4 units and Width(W) = y^2 units.

Area of rectangle(A) = L \times W

then;

A = 11y^4 \times y^2

Since, a monomial is also called power product, is a product of powers of variables with non negative integer exponents.

⇒ A = 11y^6 square unit.

Therefore, the area of a rectangle with length11y^4 and width y^2 is expressed as a monomial is; 11 y^6 square unit.
