Given  : (x-1)^0.5 + (x-6)^0.5 =7

To Find : Solve for x

Solution:

(x-1)^0.5 + (x-6)^0.5 =7

=> √(x - 1) + √(x - 6)  = 7

=> √(x - 1)  = 7 - √(x - 6)

Squaring both sides

=> x - 1 = 49 + (x - 6)  - 14√(x - 6)

=> -44 = - 14√(x - 6)

=> √(x - 6)  = 44/14

=> √(x - 6)  = 22/7

=>  x - 6  = 484/49

=> 49x - 294 = 484

=> 49x  = 778

=> x = 778 / 49
