\texttt{Solution (a) : }

Ratio = 42:56

This ratio as a fraction :-

 =  \frac{42}{56}

 =  \frac{42 \div 2}{56 \div 2}

 =  \frac{21}{28}

As the numerator and denominator of this fraction has no common factor we can conclude that we have simplified it to it's lowest form.

Therefore, the ratio 42:56 in it's simplest form = 21:28

\texttt{Solution (b) :}

Ratio = 615:213

This ratio as a fraction :-

 =  \frac{615}{213}

 =  \frac{615 \div 3}{213 \div 3}

 =  \frac{205}{71}

As the numerator and denominator of this fraction has no common factor we can conclude that we have simplified it to it's lowest form.

Therefore, the ratio 615:213 in it's simplest form = 205:71
