Present age of father is x and present age of son is y

• Five years ago their age will be
Father's age :- ( x - 5 )
Son's age :- ( y - 5 )


♯ Age of Father 5 years ago was two years more than 7 times the age of his son at that time.

( x - 5 ) = 2 + 7 ( y - 5 )

x - 5 = 2 + 7y - 35

x - 7y = - 33 + 5

x - 7y = ( - 28 )

x - 7y + 28 = 0

is the required linear equation in two variables !!
