The algebraic statements are i) 56 + 2x and b) 4 < 9y.

Given:

The expressions

i) 56 added to 2 times ‘x’

ii) 4 less to 9 times of ‘y’.

To Find:

The algebraic form of the given statements.

Solution:

i) 56 added to 2 times ‘x’ is our first statement.

2 times x is given by 2x.

Hence,  56 added to 2 times ‘x’ is 56 + 2x.

ii) 4 less to 9 times of ‘y’ is our second statement.

9 times y is given by 9y.

Less than inequality is represented by ' < '.

Hence, 4 less to 9 times of ‘y’ is 4 < 9y.

∴ The algebraic statements are i) 56 + 2x and b) 4 < 9y.
