If bar is on .235 then;
x=1.235235235----------------
Multiply by 1000
1000x=1235.235235----------
1x= - 1.235235----------
999x= 1234
x= 1234/999
x=1.235235235----------------
Multiply by 1000
1000x=1235.235235----------
1x= - 1.235235----------
999x= 1234
x= 1234/999

hey there,
I am meritkshitij here,
let's try to solve it
------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>------------
Let x= 1.235235235....... (I)
multipling both sides by 10,we get
=>10x = 12.35235235....... (ii)
multiplying both side again by 10,we get
=>100x = 123.5235235........ (iii)
multiplying again by 10,we get
=> 1000x = 1235.235235..... (iv)
now,subtracting (i) from (iv) ,we get
=>999x = 1234
=>x = 1234/999 = a/b
still have doubt? I know
Multiply by 10 till u get a pair of numbers which has same decimals.
Is it OK
as we get stopped at step (iv) becoz we got two pair (I) and (iv).look at their decilmals,both are same.
Thanks.
