Look watt = joule / seconds
joule = newton * metre
newton = kilogram * acceleration
acceleration = velocity / seconds
velocity = metre / seconds
Therefore watt = ( kg * m^2 ) / s^3 where kg is kilogram, m is metre and s is seconds
In CGS units unit of power is ( g * cm^2 ) / s^3
As 1 kg = 1000 g and 1 m = 100 cm
100 watt = 100 ( kg * m^2 ) / s^3 = ( 100 * 1000 g * 100^2 * cm^2 ) / s^3 = 1000000000 ( g * cm^2 ) / s^3
