the work done is said to be 1J when a charge of 1C flows through any two points of a metallic conductor when a potential difference of 1V is applied across it.

Answer:

Q=5mC=5x10*-3

V=100V

W=?

W=VQ

W=5x10*-3x100

W=0.5Joules

Hope so it helps as the numerical part wasn't solved in the earlier answer.
