x in terms of y
2x + 3y - 7 = 0
2x = 7 - 3y
x = 7 - 3y/2

2(-4) + 3y -7 = 0
-8  + 3y - 7 =0
- 15 + 3y = 0
y = 5

mysticd: you are not expressed x in terms of y
maria9: yes u have written he answer directly

given:-
2x + 3y - 7 =0
=>2x + 3y = 7
=>2x = 7 - 3y
=> x = (7-3y)/2
X is expressed in terms of y.
Now x=-4
therefore
-4=(7-3y)/2
=> (7-3y)=-8
=>3y = 8+7
=>3y = 15
=>y= 15/3
=>y= 5 (Ans)
