Given Equation : \frac{x}{3} + 2y = 5

Transposing the terms we have ,

\frac{x}{3} = 5 - 2y

Cross Multiply 3 on R.H.S

➭ x = 3 ( 5 - 2y )

•°• x = 15 - 6y

▪To check if (3,2 ) is a solution of the given equation

Put x =3 and y = 2 in the equation formed !

We have ,

➭ x + 6y = 15

➭ (3) + 6(2) = 15

•°• 15 = 15

R.H.S = L.H.S

=> \sf{\underline{(3,2)   \:is  \: a   \:solution\:  of  \: the \: given\:  equation}}
