Answer:

−2x+y−7=0

y=7+2x

Check :-

−2=7+2(−3)

∴−2=7−6

∴−2

Answer:

the point (4,-2) lies of the  line 3x + 2y = 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

3x + 2y = 8

to find: i ) Express y in terms of x

            ii) check whether the point (4, - 2) lies on the line.

Solution:

i) 3x + 2y = 8

or, 2y = 8-3x

or, y = (8-3x) / 2

ii) For the point (4, - 2) to lie of the line. it should satisfy the given equation.

i.e 3x + 2y = 8 should be satisfied by (4,-2)

or, 3(4) + 2(-2) = 8

or, 12 - 4 = 8

or, 8 = 8

L.H.S = R.H.S

Therefore, the point (4,-2) lies of the  line 3x + 2y = 8.

HOPE IT IS CORRECT
