Express y in terms of x in
theequation 2x - 3y = 12. Find
the co-ordinate where the
equation cuts the X-axis and
Y-axis both. Also express the
given linear equation in the
form ax+by+c=0 and indicate
the value of a, b and c.

Answer:

1. 2x - 3y = 12

2x - 12 = 3y

y = (2x - 12) ÷ 3 (y interms of x)

2. 2x - 3y = 12

2(0) - 3y = 12

- 3y = 12

y = -4

2x - 3y = 12

2x - 3(0) = 12

2x = 12

x = 6

It touches the X axis at 6 and Y axis at -4

3. 2x - 3y = 12

2x - 3y - 12 = 0

a = 2

b = -3

c = -12
