(i) Express y in equation 2x + 3y = 11

3y = 11 - 2x \\ y =  \frac{11 - 2x}{3}

(ii) To find the point where the equation cuts y axis:-

Since equation cuts y axis, the value of x = 0

putting the value of x in the equation we get:-

2(0) + 3y = 11

3y = 11

y =  \frac{11}{3}

so the point where the equation cuts y axis is (0,11/3)
