Answer: For me, religion is nothing but a "belief" that you are entitled from birth. You belong to a certain religion, you have to follow it's customs. It can also be a method through which ideas can be spread to people, or sometimes, enforced upon. A religion might not have a true God, but the leader, or messiah, helps or enforces these "laws" on people of a region. Religion can at times, be both good and bad. The good side helps the people to be enlightened with the good measures, while the bad side might have the lower sections of the society cowering at the mercy.

Being an atheist now, I still do believe a religion is a good thing to hold onto, since human beings are weak in the grounds of faith and hope, but also a bad way to enforce something onto someone by force.
