Answer:

While both men and women can be victims of violence, violence against women, often at the hands of men, is a unique category of violence that relies on the historical and current unequal balance of power between men and women, boys and girls. Violence against women is the crucial element that reinforces men’s power and control over women throughout the world. On some level, most of us participate in the culture that supports and encourages violence against women and girls, in both small ways (like telling our friends to "man up" when they have to do something difficult) to large ways (beating and raping women and girls). Here are some small and big ways we can work to end it, or at least interrupt it, every single day.

Gender based violence-

Gender based violence is a concept that means harmful acts directed towards a person based on their gender. It is similar to gender inequality, the abuse of power and harmful norms. It is a human rights violation and a life threatening issue.

Use of law, citizens and community in protecting and supporting gender based violence victims-

Victims of the gender-based violence need support and help from the society to survive in the world. Proper laws should be formed against gender violence and effectively implemented by the members of the society. The citizens of the world should also show sympathy and empathy towards these victims and give them a feeling of inclusivity. The community should not negate the existence of these victims and make them feel good about themselves.
