Many people who are successful today love to tell stories. And in their stories, there are two things that usually stand out —

I have worked incredibly hard.

I was lucky to have met some people and fortunate enough to be given opportunities by them.

So the obvious answer is — you need both. And you need tons of both.

Hard work is very important. But everybody already knows that. You can’t get from point A to point B without actually making the effort to walk the distance. There is just no way around hard work.
