India is not a rich country but India is a wealthy and poor country.
We have the highest no. of youths and youth elder ratio in the world but we dont have enough job opportunities for them. Result to that we have brain drain, unemployment and crimes.
Also we have good agriculture land but that is also divided among farmers in such a way that it cannot be used for profitable output (thanks to our large population). Here is a fact, 58.2% people of India depend on agriculture sector. And from monetary point of view the share of agriculture sector in the economy remains at 14.1% of the GDP. It means 58.2% of the population lives with only 14.1% of the total income of the Indian economy. This fact clearly substantiates the reason why the people who depend on agriculture are poor.
