Number = 3*4/5

Find

1) Express the number in the decimal representation

2)  State the kind of decimal expansion

Solution

The number is 3*4/5

= (3*4)/5

= 12/5

= 2.4

Decimal Form = 2.4

Type of decimal expansion = Non Recurring

Non - recurring numbers are those in Mathematics that do not repeat their values after a decimal point.

So, 3*4/5 = 2.4 which is a non recurring number
