Extrinsic Semiconductors. Extrinsic Semiconductors. Extrinsic semiconductors: Intrinsic semiconductors, to which some suitable impurity or doping agent or dopant has been added in extremely small amounts (about 1 part of 108) are called extrinsic or impurity semiconductors.
