Expression of fundamental frequency is given as,

f=V/λ= V/2L, [ 2L= λ, for fundamental frequency]

Transverse wave is when propagation of wave and its direction of motion is perpendicular to each other.

For (n+1)th harmonic, frequency is

f¹= V/λ¹= {V(n+1)}/2L= f₂

For nth harmonic, frequency is, f₁= V/λ₁= Vn/2L

f₂-f₁= {V(n+1)}/2L} - {Vn/2L}

    = V/2L

Expression for fundamental frequency of transverse wave is f= V/2L
