Explanation:
Extempore competition was held at the school for the students of classes 6th to 12th . Extempore speaking is about good communication skills, clarity of thought and ability to express one’s own view point.
With an intention to make students confident so that they fearlessly express their views on every topic they come across, competition like these are conducted as a platform to the students at school level to speak their heart out.
All the participants were given the topics 10 minutes in advance. They were asked to present their views in the time slot of 2 minutes. All the topics were very interesting and were very much related to the current affairs, some of them being:
1. Saving Mother Earth – Our Responsibility.
2. If you were God, which human wish would you grant?
3. If you were given 24 hours to live, what would you do ?
4. Politics as a Career
5. Being a woman
6. Impact of Media on Youth
And many more……
The participants were delivering their speeches with great confidence. The judges, found it difficult to select the best three students out of the group. They were judged on the criteria of fluency, content and clarity of thoughts. The students showed great enthusiasm and confidence in their respective performance.
