• The cell cycle and traffic light are similar to each other. The red light in a traffic signal indicated the driver to stop and relax. In the cell cycle, the cells remain in the relaxing zone before division. The yellow light alerts the driver and warns him to get ready. During the interphase , the cells prepares itself for cell division just like a yellow signal. The cell enlarges, makes copies of its DNA. Finally, when the traffic light turns green, the driver starts to drive. Similarly, the cell begins to divide during the mitotic phase.
