Africa’s vast lands are covered with several kinds of land forms. The most of Africa is covered with dense forests. The more humid regions have a richer vegetation; dense forest where the rainfall is greatest and variations of temperature least, conditions found chiefly on the tropical coasts, and in the west African equatorial basin with its extension towards the upper Nile; and savanna interspersed with trees on the greater part.

There are plateau in most of the regions that are not covered with forest and these plateau go and merge with the sea. This is why Extensive plains are rare in Brazil .
