CND was a good example from a few years ago.The (usually) women who used to march to the weapons establishment at Aldermaston usually at bank holidays. Their pre Blair agenda was to ban the bomb (in Britain,they didnt mind the Soviet Union keeping theirs) 

Actually we dont hear much of them these days.If one has a grievance then go yo your MP and let it be addressed in Parliament.
