Extra questions from Heat. 1. Write about different ways in which heat is transferred, with example s. 2.How do we sea breeze and land breeze. Explain.. 3. From sun we get heat by ------ method. 4. Find the differences between conductors and insulators.
Answers
1.There are three basic ways to transfer heat energy: convection, conduction, and radiation.Convection transfers heat energy through gases or liquids. Conduction transfers heat energy from one solid to another. Radiation transfers heat in the form of waves or particles through places where there are no molecules
2. Land breeze blows during the night from land to sea and the land becomes cooler faster than the sea. The air above the sea becomes less dense (i.e. warmer) and rises. The cooler air from the land moves in to take its place. Sea breeze: Sea breeze blows during the day and the land heats up faster than the sea.
3. From sun , we get heat by radiation method.
4. The conductor and insulator are the types of material. One of the major difference between the conductor and insulator is that the conductor allows the energy (i.e., current or heat ) to pass through it, whereas the insulator does not allow the energy to pass through it.
Hope it helps!!
