✒Extravagance or spending money without care,  definitely leads to poverty. Money which is used to buy basic needs like food, clothing and shelter if used for luxurious amenities, get exhausted. Resulting which the basic needs may be may not be fulfilled which may lead to poverty.

✒Extravagance means spending more cash than one can afford or earns. Anyone spending beyond the affordability leads to poverty. People often do this these days to show off and get a better social standing among their peers.
