Given :   The mean of 10 observations is 10. All the observations are increased by 10%.

To find :  New Mean

Solution:

The mean of 10 observations is 10

Hence total = 10 x 10  = 100

Each observation is increased by 10 % Hence new total = 100 + (10/100) 100

= 110

New Mean = 110/10  = 11

The measure of central tendency listed below is:  the MEAN

Mean median and mode are measure of central tendency

Range , Standard deviation , Quartile range are Measure of dispersion.

The sample mean of first n natural numbers is: (n + 1) /2
