Eye is more sensitive to yellow colour. Why are then the danger signals red ?

So that’s why yellow is perceived as the brightest color we can see. Add blue to it, and it’s just white light, which is of course brighter, but gives no sense of a color. Blue is actually only interesting as a color – not as the third color to yield white, because the rod nerves are already over-activ

See red have the longest and maximum wavelength and it can be seen in the foggy areas but the yellow has little less wave length than red and cant be obsereved properly in foggy area although its sensitive to our eye.
