Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) To find the Least number of saplings we have to find the LCM of the given rows 12, 15 and 40.

Prime Factors of 12 , 15 and 40 :-

→ 12 = 2 * 2 * 3 = 2² * 3

→ 15 = 3 * 5

→ 40 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 = 2³ * 5

(Taking Highest Powers).

→ LCM = 2³ * 3 * 5 = 8 * 3 * 5 = 120 . (Ans.)

2)biggest possible number 42 in a carton

and 75 m

3)Oranges = 210

  Apples = 252

  Pears = 294

We need to find HCF of

210 , 252 & 294

210 = 2 * 3 * 5 * 7

252 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 3 * 7

294 = 2 * 3 * 7 * 7

HCF = 2 * 3 * 7  = 42

biggest possible number  42 in a carton

4)the LCM for 15 and 20 is 60

every 60 minutes

5)15,30,45,60,75,90,105,120,135,150,165,180,195

Thus 13 rooms are common for all three
