Given :  4x + 3y = 90, x and y are natural numbers

To Find : what can be said about y

y is always odd

y is always even

y is even only if x is odd

y is odd if x is even

Solution:

4x  + 3y  = 90

=> 4x  = 90 - 3y

=> 4x  = 3(30 - y)

4x  + 3y  = 90

=> 3y  = 90 - 4x

=> 3y  =  2(45 - 2x)

=>  y =  2(45 - 2x)/3

y is a multiple of 2

Hence Y is always even

y is always even is correct option

x    y
