f a and b are distinct integers then prove that (an – bn) is divisible by (a – b) ​

Answer:

(an-bn)

=n(a-b). [taking n common]

=n*(a-b)

dividing it by (a-b)

=[n*(a-b)]/(a-b). [(a-b) gets cancelled]

=n

therefore (an-bn) is divisible by (a-b)
