F. Solve the following numerical problems:-
1. Calculate the density of a solid of mass 20 kg if it occupies a volume of 4 ms.
2. The density of copper is 8.4 g/cm3. What will be the volume of 200 g of copper?
3. Find the mass of 50 cm3 of silver if its density is 10.5 g/cm.
4. A rectangular piece of wood measures 4 cm by 6 cm by 8 cm and has a mass of 20 g. what is the density of the piece of wood

Explanation:

1.mass = 20 kg

volume = 4m^3

density= mass / volume

= 20/4

=5 kg/m^3

2.- Density of copper = 8.4g/cm³

Volume of copper = 200g

Since, We know that,

=Density of substance/Amount of substance

= Amount of substance=Density into volume

= 8.4g into 200gcm-3g-1

= 1680 cm³

3.Given,

Volume of the cube = 50cm^3

Density = 10.5g/cm^3

Mass = density × volume

= 10.5 × 50

= 525 g

4.we know that,density= mass/volume

mass= 20 gm (given)

volume= length*breadth *height

so, volume= 4*6*8

= 192cm³

therefore, density= 20/192

= 0.104

since its density is less than the density of water.

Therefore it'll float on water....
