work done depends only on initial and final position. In uniform circular motion the particle repeats its path after a specific time period, hence displacement is zero, i.e. final and initial positions are same, therefore work done is zero.

Also, WORK DONE IN ROUND TRIP IS ZERO( hence work done for conservative forces in round trip is zero)
