f. Write difference between shadow and image.
Answers
Answer:
Shadows are formed when opaque objects obstruct the path of light. Image is seen when light comes from the object after reflection or refraction enters the observer's eye. No light enters the eye from the shadow of the object. Image gives more information such as colour, structure, etc.

Shadow :-
- An area of darkness formed by an opaque object obstructing light is called a shadow.
- A source of light, an opaque object and a screen are needed to form a shadow.
- An opaque object blocks the light falling on it.
- This creates an area of darkness on the side of the object away from the source of light.
- A translucent object also creates a faint area of darkness.
Object :-
Anything which gives out light of its own, or reflects light is called an object.
For example, a bulb, a candle, a tree etc.
There are two types of objects :-
Luminous Objects: Objects that give out or emit light of their own are called luminous objects.
Non Luminous Objects: Non-luminous objects are objects which don’t have their own light but visible only when light from luminous source reflects from them.
Simply we can say, Shadow is something which is formed when light reflects by an object and object is something which reflects on its own
