1. Volcanic mountains:- Volcanic mountains are a special class of mountains. A volcano is a vent or opening through which magma, àsh, gases, and water vapour are ejected out. Volcanic mountains consist of – Magma chamber, Vent, Lava, Crater, and pyroclastic flow.

2. Fold mountains:- Fold mountains are created where two or more of Earth's tectonic plates are pushed together. At these colliding, compressing boundaries, rocks and debris are warped and folded into ròcky outcrops, hills, mountains, and entire mountain ranges.

3. Block Mountain:- Block Mountain is a mountain located in the Sawback Range in Alberta. It was named so in 1958 because vertical fractures, which make up parts of the mountain, look like they are composed of giant blocks. they are known as block mountains.

4. Continental plateaus:- Continental Plateaus are formed by a broad continental upliftment.

These Plateaus are also formed when basic lava spreads horizontally to cover original topography to a great depth.

The volcanic lava covered plateau of Maharashtra in India, Snake River Plateau in North West USA are examples of this type.

5. Plains:- A plain is a broad area of relatively flat land. Plains are one of the major landforms, or types of land, on Earth. They cover more than one-third of the world's land area. 6. Intermontane plateaus:- Intermontane plateaus are wide tablelands that are formed or situated between mountain ranges, when a plateau is surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is refers to an Intermontane plateau.

Some examples of the Intermontane plateau include the Tibetan plateau, the Bolivian plateaus, and theWestern United States.
