If f(x) =2x^2 - 3x - 1

then, f(x + 2) = 2(x+2)^2 - 3(x+2) -1

= 2(x^2 + 4 +4x) - 3x - 6 - 1

= 2x^2 + 8 +8x - 3x -6 - 1

= 2x^2 + 5x +1

So, the value of f(x+2) is 2x^2 +5x +1 . Ans
