f(x)= 2x-5

f(p)= 3

let x=1

so f(1)= 2(1)-5= -3

f(2)= 2(2)-5 = -1

similarly 2p -5 = 3

so 2p = 3+5=8

p = 8/2= 4

So the value of p = 4
