Im not sure what you want with this. But I guess this could be a substitution problem.

example

f(x) = 6 + 12x + 3 x² - 2x^3

f(2) = 6 + 12*(2) + 3* (2)² - 2*(2)^3

f(2) = 6 + 12*(2) + 3*4 - 2*8

f(2) = 6 + 24+12-16

f(2) = 26

make sure you follow bodmas
