Step-by-step explanation:

According to Remainder theorem

f(x)=(x−1)(x−2)θ(x)+γ(x)

γ(x)=ax+b

f(1)=a+b=2 …(1)

f(2)=2a+b=3 …(2)

Subtract (1) from (2)

2a+b−a−b=3−2

⇒a=1 substitute in (1)

b=2−1=1

∴ a=b=1

So, γ(x)=x+1
