Population growth refers to a change in the no: of inhabitants of a country / territory during a specified period of time.

Factors affecting population growth :

1. Death rate - No : of deaths per thousand persons in a year.Lower death rate is responsible in rapid population growth

2.Birth Rate - No : of births per thousand persons in a year. Higher the birth rate the rapid the population growth will be.

3.Migration - It is the movement of people across the regions and territories. It can be internal(within the country ) and International(between countries).Internal migration does not bring about a change in population growth. International migration does bring about a change in population growth.
