hi!!

here's ur answer...

given :- x³ - 3x + 2

factors of 2 = ±1, ±2

put x = 1

= (1)³ - 3(1) + 2
= 1 - 3 + 2
= -2 + 2
= 0

hence, (x - 1) is a factor of x³ - 3x + 2

now divide x³ - 3x + 2 by x - 1

by dividing we get quotient = x² + 2x + 1

further solve it by splitting method.

= x² + 2x + 1

= x² + ( x + x ) + 1

= x² + x + x + 1

= x ( x + 1 ) 1 ( x + 1 )

= ( x + 1 ) ( x + 1 )

final answer = ( x + 1 ) ( x + 1 ) ( x - 1 )

hope this helps..!!

Given Equation is x^3 - 3x + 2.

It can be written as:

= > x^3 + x^2 - x^2 - 2x - x + 2

= > x^3 + x^2 - 2x - x^2 - x + 2

= > x(x^2 + x - 2) -1(x^2 + x - 2)

= > (x - 1)(x^2 + x - 2)

= > (x - 1)(x^2 - x + 2x - 2)

= > (x - 1)(x(x - 1) + 2(x - 1))

= > (x - 1)(x + 2)(x - 1)

= > (x - 1)^2(x + 2).

Hope this helps!
